Easy Review: The Body Shop Vitamin E skin care

Hi! Super-dry-skinned writer Kuroneko here! This time I’m reviewing the Body Shop’s Vitamin E series line of skin-care products which I’ve been using for three months.

What is Vitamin E Skin Care?

Available since The Body Shop first started business in the UK (over 38 years ago), the Vitamin E Skin Care series was created due to the properties of Vitamin E as an antioxidant, skin conditioner, as well as helping prevent signs of aging.

The main ingredients of the Vitamin E series products are wheat germ oil, shea butter, and olive oil.

What I’m using

-Vitamin E Hydrating Toner
It’s a thicker toner that moisturizes your skin. It’s good for people with dry skin.

-Vitamin E Moisture Serum

A gel that absorbs smoothly into the skin. I use it before using the Moisture Cream.

-Vitamin E Illuminating Moisture Cream
It’s a really light cream. The Body Shop’s salespeople recommend using it as a make up base.

-Vitamin E Eye Cream
A little bit of this cream goes a long way. I’m using it under my eyes because I’ve got dark dark circles under my eye… lol

When I’m out:

-Vitamin E Face Mist
You can protect your skin from drying while on the go (especially at office, school somewhere really dry). You can also use it over your make-up.

At night before sleeping:

-Vitamin E Overnight Serum-in-Oil
Put 2 drops on your face and massage. If you use it too much, you will have an oily face when you wake up, so be careful!

-Vitamin E Nourishing Night Cream
It’s a nighttime moisture cream.

*I also use the eye cream and the toner at night.

What has changed in these three months.

I no longer have dry skin around my mouth and eyebrows. My skin became soft like a baby’s lol. Before, I was using a Japanese toner and cream, and importing it to Canada was costly even though the products themselves weren’t expensive — now I’m even saving money (they do a Buy 3 Get 2 Free promo quite often, so try to shop during those promotions).

Not for super sensitive skin?

I have a friend who has super sensitive skin. When she stayed over at my house and used my toner and night cream, she said ‘My skin hurts lol.’ (She generally can’t use just any toner or cream due to her sensitive skin.)

Please try the product in-store before buying if you have sensitive skin.

Cute product package♡

The Vitamin E series comes in light-pink packaging. Your joshiryoku* will level up just by having them lol. The limited-edition Union Jack packaging is super cute too!

*joshiryoku(女子力)… It refers to a girl’s femininity, specifically their fashion sense, ability to use makeup, and other girly things. English direct translation is girls power.
